Mat Goldsborough spent two decades building and scaling enterprise systems at Fortune 500 companies and high-growth startups. As CTO at Forever Oceans he designed autonomous ocean farming systems that operated across three continents. As Engineering Manager at Daily Harvest he built the platform infrastructure that carried the company through hypergrowth.
He founded NimbleBrain in 2024, not to advise companies about AI but to run his own company on it. Clients saw the result and asked him to deploy the same infrastructure for them. That is now the whole business: senior engineers who embed, build a production AI system in weeks, and hand over full ownership.
He is an ambassador for the Agentic AI Foundation, the Linux Foundation body that hosts MCP, goose and AGENTS.md. The protocols NimbleBrain builds on are governed there, in the open, which is the reason the work is worth doing in public.
He writes and speaks on what survives contact with production: the Deep Agent Method, Business-as-Code, and why most AI pilots stall between the demo and the deployment. Based in Honolulu, HI. TEDx speaker, four patents, featured in Fast Company.
